“ Myself and my partner went to this place for a meal, not staying at the hotel, recently and we had a really good time. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was really good. Particularly the Sammy Special. Notably the waiter, I believe his name was Fraser had brilliant customer service skills, he checked our order was all correct and delivered it to us with a big smile on his face. It was lovely to see someone make us feel so welcome in a place which appeared to be a pub popular with locals (which I can see why!) And enjoying his job. Absolutely would recommend for anyone visiting! ”

“ We stopped in for a bite to eat on our way back from touring the Lakes, and we’re so glad we did. We had our elderly mother-in-law with us in a wheelchair, and she can be quite particular — but the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It was easy to find a table, service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Both my wife and I cleared our plates, and even our mother-in-law ate more than usual! We don’t often have desserts, but couldn’t resist — they were just as delicious. My only regret was not being able to try the beers as I was driving, but there’s always next time. We’ll definitely be back! ”
“ Just got back after having birthday lunch and just wow! I had been to The Watermill last about 10 years ago and I’ve got to say the cosy laid back atmosphere was just the same. The food we had especially the Watermill chicken was absolutely delicious.
